Education is Prevention. Education is Performance. Education is Power.

I saw a post recently about how Education is Prevention which is a great notion.  But if you flip it on its head and say that Education is Performance then you get a more proactive and motivating vibe. 

So just think about those two perspectives - I think both are important.  

Education is Power.  Teaching patients and clients about how their body works in reaction to the activities, tasks and goals is the best thing I can give.  This can on a micro level about a specific muscle, tendon and joint interaction or more macro about how life affects our bodies.

If you have a nagging pain, old or new pain, we can work to reduce the symptoms and then make sure that they don’t return. Fixing the pain is important but taking the time to figure out why it started in the first place is even more important. And sometimes that is hidden in our daily life.
