TAKE CONTROL OF YOUR BODY

Hilary McCloy, PT, DPT has combined over a decade of physical therapy experience and her own professional sports background to create a space to treat and help others get back to their activities or sports pain free. Working with all ages and activity levels, it is important to fix the problem but more important to get bodies strong and hearty enough to match the task at hand. Hilary works with runners from all over New England who are looking for guidance on managing symptoms but also to improve running efficiency and strength. And skiers from across the country who are looking to step up their skiing and recover from injury. In person and virtual visits. And you don’t have to be an ‘athlete’ to work with me - anyone who loves to move their body and be active.

  • PHYSICAL THERAPY

I started my own Physical Therapy practice to be able to treat the whole patient better, create lasting relationships with clients and empower people to stay active and healthy. And get strong!

I treat all PT diagnoses and injuries. And you do not need a referall so we can get to work more quickly so that injuries don’t become chronic.

    In-person or virtual.

  • RUN SPECIALIST

My first passion was skiing but I have grown into a major running enthusiast and nerd. The Mt. Washington valley taught me to love the rolling flats and the steep steeps.

I have taken several incredible run certification courses that have made me appreciate the sport more. Running is a sport with skills that can make you a more efficient, less likely to get injured and thus more enjoyable.

I love working with people completely new to running, those returning after a hiatus, in the midst of an injury or life long runners.

I never would have predicted how much I love running and working with runners but once you learn about how something works it’s hard not too.

If you are injured currently, have a recurring injury or if you don’t want to get injured then my PT model and practice is perfect for you .

    In-person or virtual.

  • POST OP REHAB

I love helping people and athletes get back to their sport after a surgery or lower leg injury. Not taking insurance can be a barrier to work with me but I encourage you to reach out and have a discussion with me. I see post op patients 2x/week to start so we can work out whatever rate works for you.

I am able to take more time than the busy outpatient PT clinics, be on call when are working on your own and help get you all the way back to your sport.

  • FLEXIBLE AND PERSONALIZED

The beauty of being out of network for insurance is that we can work any type of injury, performance goal, dysfunction, etc. that is specific to the injury and your goals.

You don’t need a referral and we can work on more than one body part at one time.

You are not in a busy PT clinic so we have time to peel away the layers of what is going on which can take time and problem solve if things are chronic.

Or if you have a fresh ankle sprain, tendon or muscle injury we can get going quickly and decrease the healing time significantly.

  • “Hilary turned the really frustrating and scary experience of returning to skiing after a long injury into something positive and possible. I really appreciate the depth of her knowledge and compassion and I can’t imagine working with anyone else.”

  • "Forty eight years of running had taken a toll on my body. Thankfully I was referred to Hilary! Her expertise, her attention to detail, and her ability to look beyond the obvious has enabled me to continue to enjoy doing the sport I most enjoy. She has taught me to run smarter by identifying and strengthening my weaknesses and by encouraging me through her timely treatment plans. Becoming a client of Hilary's at Performance Physical Therapy is a wonderful investment in yourself."

  • "Hilary was great at empowering me to take control of my healing by providing an expert training program and guidance while not building a dependence on her."
